The question we hear over and over….. “what happened?” Well I’ll tell you what happened.
December 9, 2016 at about 6:30 PM our 2 year old Border Collie, Baxter, was whining at the window because he saw his friend Boomer outside playing. It was dark and cold out, I knew nobody would be out walking their dogs and he had played off-leash with Boomer 100’s of times. It’s the only time he’s ever off leash. My husband would be right there with him to supervise off-leash time, what could go wrong?
And for that decision…… that stupid selfish decision, we’d pay dearly for. BAXTER was hit by a car within minutes of playtime. His Border Collie instincts got the best of him and he went after the car in, what I believe, a “hearding” manner.
